  1. Importance of Disclosure

New members are requested to provide accurate and relevant information that they know is relevant to our decision in accepting risk and determining the rates and conditions to be imposed. Otherwise, this will result in certificate avoidance, unpaid claims, or the terms and conditions of the certificate changing.

  1. Processing Period

There is a processing period of thirty (30) days from the date the covered member makes a contribution to Angkasa Mukmin Sdn Bhd to participate in the MyCoopMed membership plans. This period is the period requested by our takaful/insurance operators to process new member applications.

  1. Waiting Period

There is a waiting period or certificate maturity period of one hundred and eighty (180) days from the date the covered member participates in the MyCoopMed membership plans before any benefits and compensation are paid on the matter.

There is a waiting period or certificate maturity period of one hundred and eighty (180) days from the date the covered member participates in the MyCoopMed membership plans for any claim for hospitalization due to pre-existing or specific illness.

The waiting period is for the first year of member admission only. There is no waiting period after a member renews the policy in the following year.

  1. Compensation Payment Claims

Any claim on the amount of benefits and compensation is subject to the MyCoopMed coverage package subscribed by the member. Covered members cannot claim benefits and compensation on Hospitalisation & Surgery Takaful (refer here) and Group Family Takaful (refer here) exclusion matters as stipulated in the MyCoopMed plan policies.

  1. Package Subscription Refund

The covered member is entitled to apply for a full refund of each package subscribed if the member is unable to claim any compensation and benefits for certain events that occur within one hundred and eighty (180) days from the date of contribution is made. Refund applications will be subjected to relevant reasons only. If the application is successful, the MyCoopMed plan certificate will be terminated immediately.

  1. Cooperative Members

Only cooperative, organization, and company members are allowed to participate in the MyCoopMed membership program. Non-members need to pay a membership fee of thirty (30) Ringgit Malaysia only for life and membership will be registered in Koperasi Sahabat Karya Berhad under Angkatan Koperasi Kebangsaan Malaysia Berhad (ANGKASA) to be eligible to subscribe to any MyCoopMed plans.

  1. Policies and Terms & Conditions Changes

We reserve the right to change the policies and terms and conditions of this certificate on the date of renewal of the certificate made by the member at any time. However, any changes to the policies or conditions of the MyCoopMed or MyCoopMed Permata coverage plan certificate will be notified to the covered member via email. Please ensure a usable and correct email.
